Create the Life You Desire in 2012!

Do you ever notice that when you come into contact with a crabby, judgmental, angry, or unconscious person that you shut down? If you are self-aware in the moment you may feel your impulse to contract. Your body tenses, your heart closes, and you disconnect from steady, even breathing. Maybe you become their mirror. In an instant you are just as angry, judgmental, crabby, and unconscious. Wow!

If you are able to watch this process in action (in yourself or in another) it doesn’t take long to realize that anger begets anger and unconsciousness indeed fuels unconsciousness.

Yet, as we each begin to wake-up to the truth of who we really are we become less reactive to external stimuli. We become steady like a rock. Grounded in our own self-knowing we are triggered into unconsciousness way less. This is simply because we have way less unconsciousness available for people to trigger. Make sense?

One tool to facilitate your “waking-up” process is intention. Do you want to know your truth? Do you want to feel steady like a rock in your life? Do you want to be able to show-up in the world as who you really are? Would you like to lessen the amount that other people and external stimuli trigger you? If you are clear in your intention to manifest any of these things then So Be It. Really, it’s that simple.

You don’t have to let the world push you around anymore. You are the one in charge of your life. Own this power and be intentional about what you want to do and who you want to be in 2012.

You can set an intention by simply thinking a thought with clarity and presence. I do this often but have found that creating a vision board is even more impactful.

A vision board is a visual representation of what you wish to transform, heal, or manifest in your life. I always create a fresh one at the New Year. All you need is a big piece of foam core or a bulletin board, several magazines that you don’t mind cutting up, paper and markers, and some quiet time to envision your most magnificent life.

Everything I put on my vision board comes true. No lie!
