Choosing Love over Fear

Fear and all other emotions are energies that we connect to, often out of habit based on our life story and conditioning.

Where in your life do you habitually connect to fear even though the circumstances are not in truth actually threatening you?

Can you choose to align and connect to the vibration of LOVE instead?

This simply requires you to be in touch with your emotions.

Feeling is a body-based experience that occurs in the moment. Do you know how you experience fear? Does your body become tense? Do you hold your breath? Does your stomach drop? Can you recognize it as it arises within you? Do you let it take you over in the moment? Do you become powerless to it? Or, can you see through the illusion of fear and use your power to choose LOVE instead?

Most of the time when we feel fear it is illusionary. Instead of experiencing the truth of what is; we project our past onto the present moment. Looking through this illusionary lens of the past skews our perception of reality. And, in our mind we recreate old traumas over and over and over again locking ourselves into the cycle of suffering.

If you can identity the story that you are stuck in, that is the first step towards freeing yourself from it. Your story is the manifestation of your karma. When it is unconscious it creates suffering in your life. When you bring your story into the light however, and illuminate it fully, you release yourself from the cycle of suffering and learn, grow, and evolve. You then become the powerful and conscious creator that you truly are and begin to write your own story from a place of awareness and authenticity.

Most people just attempt to change or improve their “story”. They create extravagant coping mechanisms and avoidance strategies to deal with their fears instead of seeing through the illusion of their fears and opening more deeply into truth and presence.

When you feel fear arising within you, can you step back and perceive the event or situation as a story being told? Sometimes in the moment this is difficult because you are so immersed in what is happening. If this is the case for you, at a later time meditate upon it. Get quiet and relaxed. In your mind’s eye replay the event. Get the story down. Illuminate it. Notice what your triggers are. Decipher why you choose to connect with the energy of fear. Make it all conscious. Then, replay the story and change your role a bit. Choose love instead of fear at the appropriate time and place and notice what that feels like. How does your story transforms as a result?

I guarantee that you will have a real-life opportunity to experience your story playing out in reality once again. When it does, you will recognize it faster and have a much easier time choosing something different or responding with love instead of fear. Old habits will dissolve and a new story will emerge that uplifts you and all those you come in contact with.
