Do you trust yourself?

Spark Your Intuition: Self-Trust

One of the biggest blockages to our intuitive capabilities or our innate ability to know is our lack of self-trust. We’ve been conditioned to look outside of ourselves for the answers we seek. We’ve been told that others know what is best for us. We’ve been taught that our inner experience or truth isn’t relevant or important.

To regain your intuitive capabilities you must first illuminate and let go of all of your beliefs or mind programs that tell you, “you are not allowed to know from within what the truth is for you in any given moment.” Instead of seeking answers from others (parents, teachers, friends, partners, church leaders, goverment/social structures, etc.) ask yourself what you sense, feel, and know. By doing so, your intuitive sense will be sparked alive and self-denial will no longer be an option. You have all the answers that you seek within.

Our quest as humans is to honor our inner truth and take responsible action from this place of inner knowing. In doing so we come to realize that each person’s unique truth is to be honored as well. This means we exist in a world of diversity without the need or want to control others or convince them to believe what we believe or affirm what we know to be true for us on the inside.

Unique experiences, perspectives, and beliefs do not have to create war or separation but instead can be the reflection of the myriad of ways that God expresses.

If what you experience is a fundamental truth, meaning it is existent in all human beings, and another doesn’t yet experience this there is no need to “teach” them or “convince” them. We each hold the whole of the universe within. In time, each person’s journey of awakening will reveal all.

To awaken your inherent intuitive potential you must first honor your truth and begin trusting yourself and what you already know. The sensations in your body and the feelings you are experiencing are going to be your primary guides. You can't make a mistake. There are no "wrong" choices. There are only moment-to-moment realizations that will continue to inform your unfolding journey. What you want today may be different tomorrow. How you feel right now will definitely change in an hour. Awakening your intuitive potential and choosing to live your life from this source of inner wisdom will help you to embrace a "living in the moment" lifestyle. And, the moment is your only true destination in life and where you discover who you really are, which is a brilliant, light-filled being of love, compassion, acceptance, peace, and power.

The simplest way to put this into action immediately is to tune-in to yourself and ask, "what am I feeling in this moment?", "what do I sense?", "what do i know to be true for me right now?", "what do I need and/or want?".

If you truly pause, tune-in to yourself, and listen you will know. Then the next inquiry will be, "do I have the courage to follow through with what I know?". Sometimes our intuition speaks loudly and clearly to us but we fail to take action based on what we know. More on why this occurs later... In the meantime, start tuning-in. Ask yourself what YOU WANT. Don't be shy. This is your destiny--to be self-guided in your life. Give it a whirl!
